Purpose
I was born on a
cold winter’s day
when the light
was fading and
the frost lay thick
and frigid high
above sea levelYou think
I can’t remember
but my cells doI know the moment
my spark entered my body
I know the moment I knew
what I was here to doIt was never spoken
Spoken can get broken
Sparks can set a bush fire
others don’t like raging fires
keep flames safely in the hearthI have kept the spark
tended it and
I know for sure
I am the one
I have been waiting for
